Snapping Turtles: Family Chelydridae

The Family Chelydridae is known as the snapping turtles. It consists of two species of turtle, the Common Snapping Turtle and the Alligator Snapping Turtle. Both turtles are found in North America, but as the name might suggest, the common snapping turtle is much wider spread.
