Hyla: Genus Hyla

The genus Hyla

The Genus Hyla is one of more than 50 genera within the family Hylidae - Tree Frogs. The Hyla genus is the only genera found outside of the New World. 

The genus used to include more than 300 species but after a revision of the family Hylidae, the genus now only contains about 36 species.
